QLIPPS HOST TERMS (HOSTING ADDENDUM)

This addendum governs Qlipps Host, the paid video hosting and embedding service operated by Qlipps Technologies LLC ("Qlipps", "we", "us"). It is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service and, where you also publish on the Qlipps platform, the Creator Terms. Where this addendum conflicts with those documents, this addendum controls for Qlipps Host only.

Capitalised terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.

1. What Qlipps Host is

Qlipps Host stores your video files, encodes them into adaptive streams, and delivers them through an embeddable player that you place on websites you control. Your Qlipps Host plan is a month-to-month subscription. There is no contract and no minimum term.

Hosted videos are unlisted by default. Qlipps does not place a hosted video into the Qlipps social feed, recommendations, or search unless you change that video's visibility yourself.

2. Plans and pricing

Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax. Sales tax, VAT, or GST is calculated automatically at checkout where applicable. All payments are processed by Stripe; Qlipps does not receive or store your card details.

3. Storage is not metered

Qlipps Host does not impose a storage cap and does not meter storage on any plan. No plan, invoice, or usage report will contain a storage charge or a storage limit. The only limit that applies to an individual file is the standard Qlipps per-file upload limit published on the upload screen.

We may contact you to discuss a fair-use arrangement if a single account's stored library becomes materially disproportionate to its delivery, but we will not introduce a storage charge without written notice and your agreement to a new plan.

4. Delivery metering and overage

Delivery means the volume of video data served to viewers from your hosted videos across all surfaces, including embeds on your own sites, measured in gigabytes (GB) per billing period.

• Each plan includes the monthly delivery allowance listed in Section 2.
• Delivery beyond your allowance is billed at $0.10 per GB, metered through Stripe and charged on your next invoice.
• We do not throttle, suspend, or cut off a video mid-month because you exceeded your allowance. Excess delivery continues to be served and is billed at the overage rate.
• We send an email notification as your usage approaches your monthly allowance.
• Delivery counters reset at the start of each billing period. Unused allowance does not roll over and has no cash value.
• Delivery volume as measured by Qlipps' own metering is the record used for billing.

5. Free trial

• The Qlipps Host trial runs for 14 days and requires no payment card.
• The trial includes the full Starter feature set, including working embeds.
• A trial account may host up to 2 videos. Choosing a paid plan removes that limit.
• A trial converts to a paid plan only when you actively choose one. If the trial ends without a paid plan, the account moves to the wind-down schedule in Section 8 and embeds stop serving.
• One trial per account.

6. Domain lock

On Host Business and Host Scale you may restrict playback to an allowlist of domains you control.

• Playback requests are evaluated against the allowlist on every request. Requests from a domain that is not on the list are refused and the viewer sees a notice instead of the player.
• Wildcard subdomain entries in the form *.example.com are supported.
• An empty allowlist means no restriction: your embeds play wherever you paste them.
• Domain lock is an anti-hotlinking and brand-control feature. It is not a security control and must not be relied on to protect confidential material.

7. Password-protected embeds

On Host Business and Host Scale you may set a per-video password.

• Passwords are stored only as a cryptographic hash. Qlipps cannot recover a password for you; you can replace it at any time.
• Anyone holding the password can view the video. You are responsible for who you give it to.
• Password protection is a viewing gate, not encryption of the underlying file, and must not be relied on to protect confidential material.

8. Cancellation, grace, retrieval and purge

If you cancel, or if a payment fails and is not resolved, the following schedule applies from the date of cancellation or failure:

1. Days 0–30 — grace. Your embeds keep playing normally. Your visitors see no change. You may reactivate at any point during this window and nothing about your embeds changes.
2. Day 30 — suspension. Embeds stop serving and viewers see a notice in place of the player. Your files are not deleted. You may still sign in, download your originals, and reactivate.
3. Days 30–90 — retrieval. Your original uploaded files remain available for download.
4. Day 90 — purge. The retrieval window closes and your hosted files may be permanently deleted. This cannot be reversed.

Wind-down clause. The same 30-day grace and 90-day retrieval schedule applies if Qlipps discontinues Qlipps Host or ceases operations. We will give notice and honour the full retrieval window before any file is purged.

9. Reactivation

You may reactivate at any time before the day-90 purge. Reactivation before day 30 restores service without any change for your viewers. Reactivation between day 30 and day 90 restores your library and your embeds. After purge, hosting must be started again as a new plan with new uploads.

10. Billing, cancellation timing and refunds

• Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not issue prorated refunds for the unused remainder of a period, and the wind-down schedule in Section 8 runs from the cancellation date.
• Accrued delivery overage is billed even where the subscription is cancelled in the same period.
• Chargebacks and payment disputes are handled under Section 12.
• Nothing in this section limits any refund right you have that cannot be waived under applicable law. See the Refund Policy.

11. Your content and your rights

You keep all ownership of the videos you upload. You grant Qlipps only the licence necessary to store, encode, and deliver your videos to the viewers you direct to them, and to display them where you have set a video to be publicly visible on Qlipps.

You are responsible for holding all rights required to upload and publish each file. Uploads are subject to the Third-Party Import Policy, the Community Guidelines and the DMCA Copyright Policy. Qlipps Host does not run Content ID or automated copyright matching against your library, which does not reduce your obligation to hold the rights to the material you upload.

While your plan is active you may download your original files at any time.

12. Payment disputes

If a payment is disputed with your card issuer, the account moves to a payment-under-review state. Embeds continue to serve while the dispute is being resolved. If the dispute is resolved in Qlipps' favour, the account returns to normal. If it is not, the account enters the wind-down schedule in Section 8.

13. Service availability and support

Qlipps Host is provided on a commercially reasonable efforts basis. We do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee or service credits on these plans. Support response targets published on plan cards are targets, not contractual commitments.

14. Acceptable use

Qlipps Host may not be used to deliver content prohibited by the Terms of Service or the Community Guidelines, to operate a general-purpose file distribution or CDN service, or to relay third-party video libraries you do not own. We may suspend an account that does so, with notice where practicable.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update this addendum. Material changes affecting price, delivery allowances, the overage rate, or the wind-down schedule take effect no earlier than 30 days after we notify active Qlipps Host customers by email. Continuing to use Qlipps Host after that date constitutes acceptance.
